Bassike Summer 10 promises to be a good one!

What's not to love about Bassike ... Nest adores it and we know you already do too. After previewing what's to come for the hot Summer months ahead at Nest - I promise... you are about to fall in love all over again!

Highlights include fabrication in Luxe Japanese cotton and amazing colour palettes to boot.  While keeping with the tried and true favourite basics in white and black. ...We've have ramped it up a little adding back colour washes in mint and choc stripe, pops of salmon (ever so flattering on the skin tone) and army green to name a few.

And lets not forget the tee made cult classic when spotted out and about on the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker - sources tell me she personally contacted the offices in Palm Beach to place and order from this season's upcoming collection (I did say it was good!!!)

Denim suddenly got a whole lot more covetable!

We are slightly obsessed perhaps..but after previewing J Brand's Newest and Greatest arriving for the year ahead it was hard not to be! 

Buying this time round was a little different ... Giving true meaning to the term "Must Have" scheduled drops in store will come once and only once... so miss out first time ... and there will be no more ...

So what's ahead
The Houlihan phenomenon continues to grow and August/September sees delivery of 3 new Summer shades.

White is the new Black and in following on with this seasons trend is best showcased in "The Houlihan" Summer White. Alongside this classic sits another ...Vintage Navy and Olympia - this time reinvented in a softer feel cotton twill.

This is where thing's start to get interesting
A new take on the Houlihan - Available in two treatments - super soft stretch cotton twill Black and amazing Army Green plus Nest favourite and sure to be next big thing - Waxed denim - a subtly done leather look wax treatment denim jean.

Truly these are gorgeous - think Houhlian minus the pockets ...they have ramped up the stretch factor and heightened the waist giving a super flattering wear

Nest Loves ... White on White

Nest loves all things White and especially loves decorating with a white on white colour scheme..The stark fresh feel of the white walls and floors combined with the use of a single pop colour always looks great and is a simple and easy look to create.

I am loving this home from the April edition of style bible Elle Decoration and is a great example of white on white.  Loving the yellow pop colour mixed with the selection of ethnic style accessories

New Season.. New Look

Early days at Nest in what has become The Women's Room
New look launching end of this month

Work is underway in the Women's Room as we begin renovations on creating what will be her new look to launch with collections for Summer 10. Over the next weeks the room will be in temporary shut down but still available for purchase with stock now located at the front of the store.

There is also a hive of activity on Level 2 with works commencing on a new addition at Nest. More details and photos will be posted in the weeks ahead.

Summer is approaching once again and it won't be long now until the first of our Women's Summer 10 Collections begin dropping in store. For Nest it is all about easy wearing pieces with a focus on quality classics and luxe basics mixed together with elements of fashion and fun.

All the collections this season are hitting a high note with many showcasing what seems to be there best to date. Being that our Women's room launch eventuated mid season it also feels like this Summer will be our first solid season launch at Nest and certainly there will be no shortage of great labels on offer .. Below is a small selection of what's to come ...

When it comes to fashion there is little the french get wrong and this label is no exception. Created by Paris based designer Virginie Neumann, its creation was inspired by a year spent living in Sydney and comes with a distinct Aussie feel. Now two years on it sells across 4 continents and boasts a raft of elite outlets from New York's Saks and Henri Bendel to Paris' Le Bon Marche (such a great store!) and can now happily add Nest to it's line up.... tres chic!

Killer Denim with a cult following. Many have tried but no one quite does it like J Brand... The Kings when it comes to well cut jeans and that I can vouch - having worn many over the years in every which style available I am yet to find a pair that did not flatter. Judging by the volume of jeans that have passed through the racks at Nest over the past months .. I think you may feel the same way.

Summer 10 sees an exceptional collection from Rabens Saloner. According to Raben's Designer Birgitte Raben Olrik, it was her most enjoyable of the five collections to date and I think this really translates through to the collection. This time round it feels a little sexier than the seasons of past and will showcase more variety in styles to sit alongside the classic loose wearing kaftans and dresses you have come to know and love.
