Zimmermann Resort + Swim
I have been a fan of Zimmermann for many years and it is easy to see why they are one of Australia's leading fashion labels. Season after season they never fail to inspire me with there beautiful fabrics and eclectic mix of colours. As a label it very much personifies the Clovelly lifestyle and is a great fit for the Nest customer. This season sees the launch of Zimmermann Resort and we have pulled together a killer collection of swimwear and resort pieces in classic Zimmermann style

No wardrobe is complete without the addition of great must have basics. They are your essential everyday staples perfect when paired with jeans or for matching back with your more high end pieces. Here we have pulled together a good selection of those who we think are doing it best...

Bassike
Already a favourite of yours, this one doesn't need too much introduction. Born out of the simple desire to create wardrobe staples that could be worn with ease - they create luxury basics in superior fabrics and interesting cuts. One of the best in basics and a personal favourite...To Debut this Summer 10..

Skin & Thread
We debuted the Melbourne based Skin & Threads basics range for Winter 10 and you loved it .. With a penchant for simplicity - they are all about the fabrics, the fit, the luxury and the look... In essence, creating pieces you throw on over and over again because they work.

Nathan Smith
Another great sharp range of must have separates for women. In a mix of jersey and heavy cotton in simple live in styles. Look out for his Capsule Collection in the next months showcasing bursts of colour worn through some classic summer styles.

Industrial Design at it's Best!

I am a little obsessed with Edison style Light Bulbs and have been obsessively shopping for Edison Style Lights far too much this past year. Styled in any way they have such a chic industrial feel to them and always add instant appeal to any room.

This Edison Chandelier caught my eye immediately and has proudly made it's way into our women's room. The industrial design of the bare bones fixture still feels luxurious and is a great contemporary take on the chandelier. Now our only issue is sourcing the large bulbs that sit with it ... am we the only ones having a hard time tracking these down!

UPDATE: Ensuring we continue to feed our obsession ... keep an eye out for our newest Edison editions in store...

Nest was featured in My Child Magazines editorial showcasing select pieces from our Bebe, Child Smart and Pure Baby collections. Personal favourite and Nest pick is Knit vest from Bebe ... very old school and so super gorgeous!

UPDATE: Showing us that they know a good thing when they see it ... My Child Magazine has picked up our new brand at Nest 'Frankie Loves Jimmy' Crochet stools and will feature them in an upcoming editorial .. Will post images over the next months!

Cargo's - we have been wearing cargo's for years but they weren't exactly the kind you would wear on a night out ... but that's now all about to change...The newest and coolest is the Houlihan Skinny Cargo Jean and it is going places the cargo has never been before. A must have pant this season and guaranteed to become your new live in piece.

After viewing Shrunk by Scotch we didn't think we could get any more excited but we were wrong! Proving to us that they just keep on getting better Amsterdam based Scotch and Soda unveiled what I think is easily one of the best collections to launch this year - Women's wear label "Maison Scotch".

Think vintage washes, bohemian retro prints, handmade fine fabrics, sharp shirts, sweet prints and lightweight tops and dresses, Maison Scotch will definitely have the same feel as the men’s line but with a dazzling more of sophistication and femininity

Aesthetically they are the pieces you wish you always had - easy wearing, live in styles that maintain Scotch's rock and roll edge with a romantic, vintage feel. We are crazy for this label at Nest and have pulled together a strongly represented, exceptionally edited launch collection of great pieces!

Nest Loves ... Vintage Cool!

Frankie loves Jimmy is our newest brand of homewares to Nest and stands for all things Vintage, Handmade and cool.

The edited collections finds inspiration from a love of classic, old school design reinterpreted in a modern, contemporary way .. In short - nanna chic.

The signature launch piece is a Recycled wood stool with crochet cover. Ethically produced in India by a team of artisan women and hand made using vintage recycled timber each carrying it's own unique look. At top - a wool crochet seat cover in rainbow coloured hues all fashioned in classic nanna chic style. A great addition of pop colour to any kids room or adults for that matter. Mine looks terribly chic in our living room and makes for a great place to stack my endless supply of magazines!

Another from the collection and due in store over the next weeks is the Pixel Love Rug - a Luxe Wool felt ball rug lovingly hand woven in Nepal in Candy coloured hues. A delightfully chic conversation piece and stand out in any room. In 90cm and 140cm sizes - various colour way's available..

Nest loves a bit of craft and have been delving into this crazy world of late when putting together our monthly windows. As much as we love getting crafty, kids adore it even more and it is a great way to help foster creativity in children.

Made by Joel is a great blog I found and it does just that - Full of a wealth of creative projects and inspiration it has some great craft projects and ideas for kids of any age - my 2 year niece adores it and looks forward to our regular "craft sessions" where we bond over our love of the creative .. I highly recommend it!
